L.E. Smith Dominion toothpick, match or votive holder in flame, L.E. Smith's term for amberina. May have also been called Old Dominion. L.E. Smith offered the Dominion pattern for many years. The toothpick was assigned No.685 and made in many colors. This amberina toothpick measures 2 1/4 inches tall. Glass is clear and toothpick holder sits level.
Pieces in this pattern were first made in 1906 by Riverside Glass Company - they called the pattern Kanawha. When Riverside closed, Tygart Valley Glass obtained the molds and produced pieces in this pattern. In 1915, McKee offered this pattern as their Pres-Cut No. 75 Colonial line and later changed it to No. 1776.
There are no cracks, chips or flakes. Very pretty.
